Clean Fifteen and Dirty Dozen -not a super hero flick
This isn't the name of a new superhero movie, it's the list of fruits and veggies published by the Environmental Working Group each year which indicates foods that have unacceptable amounts of pesticide residue and the foods that are clean for consumption. This 2018 list can serve as a guide for which fruits and veggies to buy organic at the supermarket. We all know organic foods are pricier than non-organic, so this list can save you some hard earned cash!
Clean- avocados, sweet corn, pineapple, cabbage, onions, peas, papaya, asparagus, mangoes, eggplant, honeydew, kiwi, cantaloupe, cauliflower, broccoli.
Dirty- strawberries, spinach, nectarines, apples, grapes, peaches, cherries, pears, tomatoes, celery, potatoes, bell peppers. These had high amounts of pesticides even after washing.
